Just finished reading Get Together.
Brilliant and necessary read for anyone building a community.

With any, the goal is to bridge different people together so they can share resources, ideas, skills, info, and form a bond with each other. 🌏 #GiveFirst

“People participate in communities for a variety of reasons—to sing, to lose weight, to read stories that speak to them. But regardless of what drives people to show up for the first time, the relationships they form are what will bring them back.”
“For any community to flourish, it's essential that members have a space where they can speak directly to each other, without having to depend on a founder or leader to play intermediary.”

How I ended up here is a testament to the power of networks and working for the good of a larger whole. I didn't know it but I set the ball rolling some 3 years ago when I decided to build a community around health technology entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
It was 2016, I'd moved back to Nigeria in 2015 to build a #healthtech company. After struggling for a while trying to figure things out myself, I contacted a few people and set up @DigitalHealthNg. My goal was to create a support group and share knowledge among ourselves.
The ever-optimistic @0moba was great support and jumped on board early. Also had great early support from people like @LanreAdeloye , @iakhimien, @DeboOdulana, @Ayomidejoe, @waledash and many more.

Cracking PM interviews: Just collating a couple of points from some conversations over the last few days

(thread)
1. Don’t spray paint your applications and wait for luck by chance. Play to your strengths and see what value you can add to the company you’re applying to (a deck with what could be done better or how x can solve y if you have some time on hand)
2. Figure out the T shaped skills you need to get there. UI/UX/Data/Tech/Metrics/Comm/Growth/Business Acumen - it’s okay if it takes some time but it’s worth it.
