NEW: Gov. Abbott signed #HB2127 into law, which allows the state to override voters and seize control of important local government decisions — like protecting workers and renters from abuse.

The same politicians working to suppress our vote are now trying to subvert it.
City and county governments will no longer be able to pass or enforce policies that deal with:

• worker safety
• renter protections
• police accountability
• environmental protections
• a lot
Instead of taking power away from our communities, state politicians should want local leaders to have the power to represent us.

No exceptions.
