@zackfreedman I personally want to take a look at making my own keyboard, but that would require at least to have 122 buttons if not more and instead of #RGB just have some dimmable monotone LEDs if not EL wire instead.

Ideally with transparent keycaps!
@zackfreedman Also have you considered to use coiled-up, ultraflat #RJ45 #Cat5e or better?
Or #HDMI cable??
You might even be able to use a regular 4p4c #RJ10 cable if your two halves are independent from each other and the primary one just has a #USB-Hub onboard...
