“I received much more cow dung than I required in my farmland. That’s when I started thinking of an alternative for not letting it go to waste.”, says P Ganesan, an organic farmer who has been making #artefacts for the past five years, using nothing but cow dung and cow urine. Image
Hailing from Perungamanallur village in Madurai, 52-YO Ganesan has invented a unique and organic way of crafting handicrafts.

“I craft it by my hands. No machinery or mould is involved, and I don’t add ingredients other than cow dung and cow urine.
It is 100 per cent natural and eco-friendly.”

Currently, Ganesan makes over 150 different products, including utility and decorative items. A 6-foot tall Buddha statue made using 30 kg of #cowdung is one of their masterpieces created by him.

1/5 Making an orphan smile gives you immense happiness. You cannot find it anywhere or anything. It’s this smile that keeps me motivated.

Ayat is an orphan. She has two brothers and a sister. Delivered them a Winter Package. Ayat insisted that I shall take a cup of tea. #Smile ImageImageImage
2/5 I didn’t want to go inside their house, but her grandma told her that he may not like to drink tea offered by an impoverished family. Then I spent 15 minutes with the orphans. They were so happy. On my way out, I asked Ayat to go with me till the street. #Afghanistan
3/5 I asked her what she wants. She said she loves biscuit but she has to eat it before going back to home. Because she doesn’t want her siblings to know she got biscuits. She returned home with enough snacks.

today, EthnoFest in #Tbilisi (alas only realized it happening late afternoon), with plenty of great things you can get if you

-- want to support local business, or

Below some of my favourites. 1/n Image
This won the overall prize (congrats!!!) & was my favourite: fairly simple, evocative of #Tbilisi & #Batumi #architecture, nice #lighting addition somewhere in a flat, neat product. 2/n Image

#westernmexico

Here, when we had gone on a research trip as the Bihar Museum #design team, we had found #craftsmen making bricks and sculptures to help in the restoration of the 1500 year old site. We thought this was extremely imp as the process was similar ImageImageImageImage
I had suggested that this process be filmed and displayed as part of ‘continuing traditions’ in the new Museum. Thankfully, this was accepted and a film has been made 😊

Thank you the real heroes, we salute you for your skill and hard work, not just today but everyday 🙏🏽

#365photochallenge
I´ll say it also in English :)
I´m gonna try a photography 365 project, but instead of taking photos, processing old random photos of mine...
Only one rule: the square format.
Let´s see what I got, which will be directly affected by the mood of the day...
