Today i want to share my story of humiliation and verbal abuse i received from @BitiTendai. Say no to assault (physical and verbal) say no to gender based violence! #GBVmustfall

@BitiTendai is supposedly a national leader as VP of MDCA, a Christian and lawyer but the way he behaved is NOT acceptable.
He shouted at me, called me “stupid very stupid” several time’s and made me feel intimidated, belittled and publicly humiliated.
@BitiTendai violated my rights as a woman. He violently pointed his fingers at my face and threatened me. To put this into context neither me nor my company had any prior dealings with this man, we have never spoken to him and yet his behavior was irrational, hysterical...

-THREADE-

A Chinese state electrical engineering company and its affiliate have been sanctioned by the World Bank over fraudulent activities in a power project in Zambia.
The action bars China Electric Design and Research Institute Co Ltd (CEDRI) from participating for up to 18 months in World Bank projects with the option to meet new conditions of compliance and to remove the ban.
China National Electric Engineering Co Ltd (CNEEC), the parent company of the company, was permitted to continue participating in projects under a settlement agreement, but could be banned if it fails to follow agreed terms, the bank said.

1] Some ppl have been accused of using the "tired song" of ZanuPF's underhand or marriage of convenience with #Mwonzora et al.

It would seem like #ZanuPF has used the "kombayi tirove" tactic in the "kombai titore" hijacking of the MDC Headquarters.

#Mwonzora should be ashamed.
2] Things just don't add up, regardless of how open minded one chooses to be.

The courts surprisingly opened during the lockdown for the judgement.
#Komichi spectacularly came with a prepared acceptance speech.

Guessing a judgement & bringing a related speech are 2 diff things
3] Then came Parliament..

#AdvMudenda inexplicably chose #Mwonzora over #Hwende even before any ruling on the identity of the #MDC-A.

#MaKhupe has been allowed to cross the political floor, with her MPs, with #Nyikadzino being ignored by #Mudenda.

There is a logic to it all.

1] At face value, you would think, we need to fully open #Parliament.

Gov needs to be kept on check.

Policy discussion & dissemination of info, all point towards the need to #ReopenZimParliament

However, the more you watch it, the less you're convinced we need Parliament at all.
2] Was laughing at #Mwonzora as he castigated #MDC_A #MPs who have defied his court granted authority, to continue going to #Parliament.

His argument was, gvt needs to be kept in check.

A few hours back, #ZiyambiZiyambi had embarrassingly belittled him in that same #Parliament.
3] If #Mwonzora is to be honest with himself, he hasn't achieved anything in that #Parliament as #Senator.

Not even because he isn't effective, but because the people they are supposed to be playing #watchdog on, are just unrelenting.

You barely see any meaningful engagements.

Lot of footage coming out of #Harare showing security forces using heavy-handed violence to disperse planned protests. Strong presence of security forces around Harare's central areas and Africa Unity Square. @UKinZimbabwe has urged sec forces to "show restraint"
Very heavy-handed tactics used by security forces in this footage, filmed this morning in #Harare. The protestors were standing on corner of Sam Nujoma St & Jason Moyo Ave. H/T @FingazLive for footage. Geolocated: goo.gl/maps/CTGtiGN2E…
@FingazLive More footage from down on the street, verified by @bertram_hill1, showing #Zimbabwe riot police beating protestors as they run away from the scene in #Harare on Jason Moyo Ave & Sam Nujoma St. 👇

I used to be afraid of horror movies. I watched some with my brother last night, and now I understand. How very quaint and soothing they were - an escape from the relentless horror of seeing #ClimateBreakdown, present and future, all around.

I'd much rather see conventionally-attractive white teenagers eaten by monsters or whatever than imagine the anguish of millions of city dwellers without water, for months, despite the city still sending waters to those who bottle and sell it. #Harare #Zimbabwe
I used to use that example as hyperbole of how markets cannot be expected to deal with environmental degradation: that the last glass of drinkable water on earth would go to some rich dude's swimming pool, rather than to a poor person suffering from thirst. Fear not, fiction.

1/11 Perhaps by some divine coincidence I need not explain, earlier I had a deeply worrying chat with @MDCAllianceZW Vice President #SenatorMorganKomichi who's in Harare over a cell phone line. I cannot live with my conscience without sharing what #SenatorKomichi told me!
#ZimSoS
2/11 #SenatorKomichi said the second total Internet shutdown was effected around 10pm yesterday. The military & #ZanuPF militia used that Internet shutdown along with nightfall to unleash untold horror upon residents of high density suburbs in all cities across #Zimbabwe!
#ZimSoS
3/11 #SenatorKomichi said while #Bulawayo & #Harare are the most affected, all cities & towns in the country are suffering the same assaults. He said he & his colleagues have been overwhelmed by desperate #SoS messages of killings, torture, rape, injuries & abductions!
