در رشته توئیت زیر، جناب وو بزرگ، این ریزش را به یک قطعی شبکه برق و در نتیجه مزارع #ماینر های یک منطقه خاص (در توئیت ذکر شده) و تاثیر آن بر کاهش قدرت محاسبه #hashrate شبکه مرتبط دانسته است. برای تایید این نظریه به یک اتفاق مشابه سال ۲۰۱۷ نیز اشاره کرده است.
