The apathy repeatedly demonstrated by govt, certain health leaders & HCPs as our #NHS collapses around us resulting in the normalisation of ‘avoidable death/harm’, is staggering.

I never thought I’d see the day that #FirstDoNoHarm became utterly meaningless!

When we look back at this time & reflect on the thousands of lives that didn’t need to be lost & the millions more that suffered bc of unnecessary bereavement/#LongCovid/#NHS neglect/the end of public health messaging ETC…& wonder how this happened in a civilised society…
2/
….& why we seem to have learnt absolutely nothing from our collective pandemic experience?

Why can’t @DHSCgovuk @NHSEngland see the unacceptable harm done by actively encouraging an individual response to a novel🦠, reinstate a #MasksInHealthcare mandate & upgrade staff😷s?

Ontario's Health Care system has a big pot of money. For three years Doug Ford and his government have been under spending this money, Paying nurses less, giving hospitals less, deliberately creating a crisis of sick people, and kids FFS. 1/-
Now he proposes to solve that crisis by giving his friends, rich people in Ontario, Like the Weston Family, money to provide clinics to deal with all these sick people.
There is only one pot of money, and now he is going to give some of it to his friends. 2/-
Those clinics will take the cream, the pot will stay the same size, so there will be less for the Public system, and the nurses and doctors who work in it.
What do you think is going to happen?
The public system will get worse. 3/-

Some thoughts on the #HealthCareCrisis in Ontario (and across Canada).

Let's talk real solutions can we?
When you look at personality characteristic amongst healthcare workers..doctors, nurses, all the other members of the healthcare team... characteristics such as empathy, compassion, resilience are part of the fibre of our being...it's literally what leads us to find these careers

We stand in #Solidarity with our Workers in the #Unions & this is the only way to have a say in our Working Environment by #WorkingTogether & doing a #Strike!
People like us, who've been arguing against the broken Gears & For-profit exploitation of #Capitalism, comes in to help.
We're in a #SocietalCollapse as the Full Stop & Endgame of #Capitalism's Growth has begun! We need Calls & Movements for a "Great Transition" from this broken #Dystopia where we have a #ClimateCrisis, #HousingCrisis, #Pandemic, #EvictionCrisis, #HealthcareCrisis,...
#BiodiversityCrisis, etc.
As the system focuses on #Economic Growth, #Corporate Interest & Businesses First while exploiting the #Labor who are treated like hell & not paid a #LivingWage nor anything while everything to basically live is practically an Expense under #Capitalism.
