How I ended up here is a testament to the power of networks and working for the good of a larger whole. I didn't know it but I set the ball rolling some 3 years ago when I decided to build a community around health technology entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
It was 2016, I'd moved back to Nigeria in 2015 to build a #healthtech company. After struggling for a while trying to figure things out myself, I contacted a few people and set up @DigitalHealthNg. My goal was to create a support group and share knowledge among ourselves.
The ever-optimistic @0moba was great support and jumped on board early. Also had great early support from people like @LanreAdeloye , @iakhimien, @DeboOdulana, @Ayomidejoe, @waledash and many more.

O Departamento de Justiça dos EUA descobriu um dos maiores esquemas de fraude na área de saúde da história, com desfalque estimado de US$ 2,1 bilhões no sistema público de seguros. Mas as implicações vão além do prejuízo do governo. Segue o fio.
#HealthTech #dataprivacy #genetic

So excited that the paper that is the culmination of my #PhD came out in @ScienceTM today! As the COVER story! Can't wait to share this 6-yr labor of love with the world. Here are some of the main takeaways from the paper:

#BigDay #HealthTech #PortableMRI #HydrationSensor
MRI is a powerful diagnostic tool but it is too expensive ($1.5M) and time-consuming (10-60min) to use on a regular basis. We developed a portable NMR sensor that can harness the diagnostic power of quantitative MRI at a fraction of the time (<1min) and cost ($1k).
It is not necessary to generate images in order to take quantitative magnetic resonance (relaxometry) measurements. Removing the need to generates images makes the hardware simpler, smaller, and cheaper.

A look at the U.S. attempt to switch medical charts into electronic records. “The system is an unholy mess.” via @FredSchulte and @erikafry KHN/⁦@FortuneMagazinekhn.org/OTI3ODU5
Electronic health records have created a host of risks to patient safety. Alarming reports of deaths, serious injuries and near misses — thousands of them — tied to software glitches, or other system flaws have piled up for years in government and private repositories. #EHR #EMR
It started with the "HITECH" Act and a goal of improving patient safety and creating a system of easily accessible patient health info. The software code was so buggy, that when one glitch got fixed, another would develop, the government found. #EMR #EHR

Who funds the IEA, the TPA, the ASI &co?
You know, the RW 'free trade' thick tanks advocating tax havens, "freedom" (no regulations like workers' rights or environmental protection), no welfare (no tax & no free healthcare).
Basically, "Only the wealthier survive" philosophy?

*Could it be* that it has something to do with defending their funders' interests?
Today, I'm going to tell you the Thick Tanks' Hydra tale.
Featuring Atlas, huge piles of money, tradition, "free speech", useful idiots and a very clear agenda that Brexit/Trump are a part of.

Take a seat: It's a long story, with a lot of players, including politicians, pretty ladies squatting your TV, the climate change denial's network, the global fascist movement, Silicon Valley/multiname data-stealing/misusing company & private companies' involved in elections.

Dr Murphy downloaded the @babylonhealth App & tried the #Chatbot with a few simple clinical presentations. It quickly became apparent that the #Chatbot had flaws, raising the question if the App had been validated as a triage tool?
