@MichaelSteranka First of all, that individual's behavior is reprehensible. Your wife and child are beautiful and enjoy a fatherhood!
@MichaelSteranka However, in regards to #HearUsNiantic, your company is tone deaf and seems to be completely disconnected from the reality of its players. The nerf to remote raids is pretty much universally hated by your players. You can do better.
@MichaelSteranka I'm a player who has spent thousands of hours in the game and thousands of dollars as well. I've done a number of trips playing the game, including to Safari Zone Seville and Go Fest both in Chicago and Seattle. I even have a t-shirt with the QR code for my trainer code on it.

So many of your loyal fan base, myself included, have come up with wonderful and innovative suggestions to address these issues, even if it means Remote Raids are still fundamentally different now.

I really hope that you will take some time to #HearUsNiantic
This doesn't even address how disappointing it is to have so many far away friends that I can do literally nothing with now that I can't afford to raid.

I have several reasons, including moving to a new country, but EVERYONE has Vivillon friends they can't do much with now.
I tried giving this the benefit of doubt, raiding in person. I light flares on Campfire. I even made my own group. Nobody comes. Nobody responds. My only shot is making the long trek into town and even if I manage to catch a bus, I'll never make it in time to get to those raids.

Mr. Steranka, you truly seem a good dude that would be to have a drink with & chat with for a while. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the game and interactions with the community.

But this is an astounding misinterpretation of data and community desires.
Where was this supposed player groundswell asking for a reversion back to 3 hours? I'm sorry, but I find that incredibly hard to believe.

And yes, of course many players didn't play 6 full hours. We played for 2-4 during the window available to us. Which we will miss terribly.
You are completely misreading the data... and the room. You're wrong, Mr. Steranka. The only 5% is likely the percentage of players that want only 3 hours to play with.

6 hours hurts nobody. It's better for players in groups or individually. Better for ALL players.

6 hours allowed for players to squeeze in time for digital monster hunting around their other activities... around our actual LIVES. Many of us were playing for 2-4 hours sometime during that 6-hour time block and then carrying on with our lives with the rest of the time. 1/5 Image
Some played from 11-2, some from 2-5, some from like 11-12 and then again from 3-5, depending on their availability. Niantic seems to want us to plan our day around Community Day and other events most every weekend. 2/5
This is just another sign of that: play during these three specific hours -- far less flexible -- or don't play at all, sucks to be you, get good lolz. This is yet another big slap in the face to the playerbase, more proof you do NOT #HearUsNiantic. 3/5

Dear @NianticLabs your community needs you to address the recent in-game changes to #PokemonGO. #HearUsNiantic we love this game and the communities we've built together. This game thrives on inclusivity and diversity. Show us you understand that.

Dear Niantic,

Community and Creators alike wish to voice our concern and disappointment over recent changes to the Pokéstop interaction radius reduction in Pokémon GO.

1/18
While the Pokéstop/POI interaction radius was increased due to an unprecedented global pandemic, the flow on effects of this in-game change have had a far greater positive impact on the community.
