Real-time RT-PCR (@WHO gold standard) is complex and requires technical equipment and skilled human resources. Deploying a military mobile lab for temporary missions in the south is a good step, but still, testing capacity remains limited: only 24,406 tests performed as of 02/05.
Antigen and antibody rapid tests provide a less costly and faster delivery of results compared to RT-PCR. However, before these tests can be used, it must be acknowledged that they serve different roles and thus need to be used in different scenarios.

10 facts & myth busters!

#1 Social Distancing is not restrictive of social gatherings like malls and movies. We have expanded that to almost any contact outside of family. Each infected person infecting 3 others TIMES 15 will be close to a million infected in 2 wks.
#2 #Handwashing vs #Sanitizer
Precautions are important. The best evidenced based precaution is #Handwashing. Virus can last in surfaces and clothing upto several hours. Also hand washing, done properly is as good or better than hand sanitizers.
#3 #Highrisk groups such as health care workers should protect themselves and their families too. So, please have your own quarantine protocols at home. #Covid is the greatest leveler of mankind, and hurts everyone equally. Stay home, and if not, stay safe!

Just because you're young doesn't mean you're immune to #COVIDー19.

🔹You can STILL SPREAD IT w/ NO SYMPTOMS

🔹 #asthma & #diabetes make even young people #HighRisk for serious complications

Symptoms may be so mild for young people that THEY AREN'T NOTICED.

So people who DON'T KNOW they're infected & contagious go about normal activities & infect others: parents, grandparents, people with asthma, lung disease (ex: asthma), diabetes, etc. 2/3 #FlattenTheCurve
#SocialDistancing ISN'T JUST ABOUT YOU.

It's about EVERYONE in your community.

It's about making it safer FOR OTHERS.

Don't be a #carrier.

Don't send me to the hospital because I had to go get my prescriptions.

Don't infect your parents & grandparents. #StayTheFHome 3/3
