This is satellite imagery during the period during which this latest Tongan eruption has occurred (see quoted tweet). There is a signature which could be an eruption. But nothing like the earlier ones. Perhaps entirely under water and giving off steam. @MichaelFieldNZ

Papanasam Dam in #Tirunelveli district has filled up after drying up completely in summer! Excess water would be released in #Thamirabarani river.. #Manimutharu is not full yet and if it had been full, then situation could have been troublesome
