The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (#OIC) held a Consultative Meeting with the #African Group Member States in the #OIC, in Jeddah, on Monday, 17 October 2022.

Secretary-General, Mr. #Hissein_Brahim_Taha: #Mediation is of great importance to #OIC, as the 4th session of the #Mediation Conference is being held at a critical juncture, and at a time when the world is in dire need of mediation, dialogue & negotiations to resolve conflicts.
Secretary-General: 60% of the conflicts in the world occur in the #OIC Zone, so OIC Member States have a strong commitment to resolving the outstanding conflicts in a peaceful and lasting manner.
During his official visit to the United States of America, the #OIC Secretary-General, H. E. Mr. #Hissein_Brahim_Taha, met today, May 25, 2022 at the headquarters of the State Department in #Washington, DC, with the US Secretary of State, H. E. Mr. Anthony Blinken.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the OIC & the USA & ways to enhance and develop them. They also discussed the outcome of the inaugural strategic dialogue between the OIC & the United States, which was held on May 23-24, 2022 in #Washington.
The two sides agreed on the importance of consolidating these relations in various fields, in light of the challenges facing the world, foremost of which are the situations in the #MiddleEast, #Africa and #Asia.
Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (#OIC), Mr #Hissein_Brahim_Taha, on 13 April 2022 in his office received the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of #SaudiArabia, Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji.
During this audience, the Secretary-General commended the active role of #SaudiArabia in promoting joint Islamic action and advancing the issues of the Muslim world. He also hailed the generous support by the Kingdom, the host country, to enable the #OIC to fulfil its duties.
On his part, the deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that, the Kingdom of #SaudiArabia pays attention to the work of the OIC and supports its efforts to achieve the noble objective of serving the issues of the Muslim world.
