So here we are yet again, history-lovers.

Can you truly credit that this was the week in the year 2020 that a certain national newspaper yet again published a list of 'history books of the year' without including a single one by a woman?

also, heute waren wir in der @Wahlrecht1918-ausstellung #volkskundemuseum und der pipo und der spunk haben ausprobieren können, wie es ist auf die barrikaden zu gehen... vor allem brauchte es gegenseitige unterstützung ;-)
spannend die vielen fotos von kämpfenden frauen - sei's um politische partizipation um 1900 oder gegen den staat und seine institutionen um 1970 (#autonomefrauenbewegung)
sehr gelungen ist die räumliche strukturierung der geschichten - hier das beengende »heim«, der »küchentisch« als lebensmittelpunkt...

Akkadian word of the day is etemmu “ghost”, sometimes written in cuneiform with the Sumerian GIDIM (and related logograms)
In Mesopotamia, ghosts appear in personal and royal letters, in which they figure in prophesies, are blamed for misery, and included in oaths.

To an Assyrian king: “Her ghost blesses him (saying) as he has shown reverence to the ghost, ‘His descendants shall rule over Assyria!’”
