Now ministering is our Senior Pastor, Rev Dan Ayidu @danayidu
Topic: The Power and Benefits of Redemption
Text: Mark 15:33-39, Heb 9:12

Redemption is the rescue from the bondage of sin.

#ChurchGRA #HolySaturday #Restoration #GRAEasterService #TheResurrectionLife
@danayidu There are two operative kingdoms in this life, the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of satan.

#ChurchGRA #HolySaturday #Restoration #GRAEasterService #TheResurrectionLife
@danayidu (Lev 17:11) Salvation is free because it has been paid for. (1 Peter 1:18-19) Christ was willing to pay for your sins. You are worth it.

“Limbo” By Sister Mary Ada, OSJ

The ancient greyness shifted
Suddenly and thinned
Like mist upon the moors
Before the wind.
An old, old prophet lifted
A shining face and said:
“He will be coming soon.
The Son of God is dead;
He died this afternoon.”

A murmurous excitement stirred
All souls.
They wondered if they dreamed –
Save one old man who seemed
Not even to have heard.
And Moses, standing,
Hushed them all to ask
If any had a welcome song prepared.
If not, would David take the task?
2/7
And if they cared
Could not the three young children sing
The Benedicite, the canticle of praise
They made when God kept them from perishing
In the fiery blaze?
A breath of spring surprised them,
Stilling Moses’ words.

In between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday is #HolySaturday. Jesus is buried. A day when God seems silent. A day when the exhale of the death of Good Friday has stilled, and, quiet.
In between the catatrophe of Friday and the eucatastrophe of Sunday is the almost unbearable waiting of Saturday.

We live in a #HolySaturday world. A world in waiting. A world groaning in between rebellion and resurrection.
#HolySaturday shows us that God is speaking even while he seems silent. He is working even while we’re waiting. That a day of darkness seems unending, but it only seems that way.

Holy Saturday exposes our short-sighted cynicism as fatally flawed.

Is the best day to post some of imagery of... hell. The "Harrowing of Hell" is a part of the Apostles' Creed. There is writing that it has been depicted by Hieronymus Bosch (@boschbot) but only imitations remain. The demons remain an inspiration for @BeelzeboxRPG ImageImageImageImage

Imagery of Christ bursting through the gates of hell is awe-inspiring. To quote @NewfieldsToday, in possesion of one paining by a follower of Bosch: "This vision of Hell, its eternal darkness broken by Christ's dazzling entry, is exceptionally vivid." ImageImageImageImage
While @RCT says that "all the other known versions are inferior to the accepted works of @artistbosch in the richness of their fantasy and in the decorative quality" the imitations should help imagine how amazing the lost original was. I adore the version by Hans Rottenhammer (1) ImageImageImageImage

American culture will tell you that your suffering is a lesson—a "blessing in disguise." Suffering must always be redemptive. Otherwise, we might have to question why some people succeed and other people fall to the very bottom.
Today is #HolySaturday when Jesus has died and, according to tradition, descends into hell. It is the moment *before* the great surprise, when Jesus’s death is revealed to be a blessing in disguise. That someday suffering and death itself would be no more.
So today, of all days, let us call a truce in this meritocracy. Let's allow suffering people NOT to call their suffering “good.” The only GOOD thing about “Good Friday” is that God has come to save us.

Christ has died. Tomorrow He will rise. That’s a big enough lesson for me.

In the America 1930s, a new kind of Christianity was emerging. It was aimed at the wealthy, and was supported by massive companies. The aim was to change Christian meaning.
But it didn't really start to pick up until 'The New Deal ' which was to help to poor.
This new Christianity, you didn't need to read the Bible, but you had attend church.
Now this was only aimed at the rich and middle classes.
The preacher would clearly state, that you having money was a gift from God, and the poor were being punished by God.
Yes, massive chunks from the Bible was ignored, and in fact their Bibles had eradicated Jesus helping the poor.
Being rich and Christian meant you were truly blessed by God. But in reality, it really did create #FakeChristians
Decades of this, now so integrated into the
