This is a huge leap, but does anyone out there have the name of a company that manufactures the BiModal Voter Accreditation System #BVAS that #INEC uses for #IReV in #Nigeria elections? All I've found is "tech startups" helped modernize

for those extremely confused, Nigeria used a new vote reporting system and had bad reporting delays. Not the main point of my piece but weird I can't find a manufacturer for the biometric system, governments rarely make such things in house. It should be a contractor.
for the record, I have no reason to think anything nefarious went on, it's just strange I can't find the name of the contractor, and will otherwise be publishing that I couldn't discover who made them [its only a minor component of my story]

essential to uphold the integrity of the election process, which is the cornerstone of any democratic society.

As you know, Nigeria has a long history of election-related violence and rigging. This has undermined the credibility of our democracy and eroded the trust of our

When we say @inecnigeria seems committed to rigging #NigeriaDecides2023 to order, some party political ppl raise hackles. So, let me try & show what is happening in Imo State, using #SupremeCourtGovernor, @HopeUzodinma's Oru East LGA. Pls stay with me

premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/…
Oru East LGA has 10 wards. @inecnigeria created 59 PUs in Oru East. 27 are in 9 wards. 32 new PUs are in the Omuma Ward alone. Guess where @Govhopeuzodinma comes from? Omuma Ward of course
Awo Omama is the biggest community in Oru East. It has 4 wards. @inecnigeria created only 13 new PUs in all of Awo Omamma's 4 wards

I've seen many people try to downplay the likelihood of Obi winning the election in 2023. Their justifications are frequently centered on the fact that "voters" aren't on social media. I did some digging and I here's what I discovered

👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

(This is my personal take)
First, let’s break down the 2019 elections.
Total number of registered voters: 82,344,107
Number of total votes: 28,614,190
The winner (APC) had 15,191,847. (Less than 20% of total). Despite the billions spent on their campaign, the party's "popularity" and
the ever-mentioned "Jagaban" influence.

Many of the voters are presumably "northerners, offline crowds, etc," accounting for less than a quarter of all registered voters.

The majority of non-voters are presumably "uninterested youths" who have

Zamfara in the last 7 days recorded less bloodshed compared to the previous week, but the rate of abductions of persons remains the same. There's however, something to worry about: an emerging evidence of the presence of Ansaru in #Zamfara,
operating across the states in North West #Nigeria right into the border with Niger Republic. #Ansaru is a sect, a breakaway faction of #BokoHaram in 2012. The were responsible for the prison break in Abuja in 2012.
So far, several armed bandits and cattle rustlers are being proselytized into the fold of the Jihadis while erring armed bandits are systematically being taken out by the #Ansaru elements. The Northwest may likely be the new jihadi battle ground in #Nigeria like the Northeast.
