So this happened a week ago & it’s getting zero attention—
The 3rd annual hackers convention @defcon @VotingVillageDC

The vulnerabilities found on easily hacked voting machines were astronomical & alarming.

Result—Congress must mandate US election security.

Let’s unwrap this…
2017 was the first year hackers were given free reign to try to hack US voting equipment of all types.

In 2017, Hackers @defcon @VotingVillageDC were able to hack all machines used in the 2016, in as little as 90 minutes.

In 2017, they found a CF card in a surplussed Diebold electronic voting machine (EVM) with active voter rolls from the 2008 election in a SQLite database, plain text.

Folks…this is an alarming example of how secure state’s voting records are:

"[Bannon] sees cultural warfare as the means to create enduring change in American politics," Christopher Wylie, a whistleblower from SCL, told the Senate on Wednesday (via Reuters). "It was for this reason Mr. Bannon engaged SCL, a foreign (1/2)
military contractor, to build an arsenal of informational weapons he could deploy on the American population."

Trump is very suggestible:

"Trump tends to echo the words of whomever last spoke to him, making direct access to him even more valuable, the people said, requesting anonymity to talk about internal campaign discussions."

1. Remarkable Fox poll👇

47% Americans favor impeachment or impeachment and removal
45% oppose impeachment

Plus what Sidney Blumenthal calls "Pelosi effect":

"Many of the Democrats would shift their view if Pelosi and the party unified in favor of an impeachment inquiry."
...
2. Even more Americans likely support #ImpeachmentInquiryNow

A Quinnipiac June poll asked if support Congress investigating to determine whether to bring impeachment charges. Showed even more Americans support investigation now than ready to support impeachment.

Sustained 24/7 sit-in outside SF Federal Building, where Pelosi’s office is. Starting Monday, 7/29 at noon. Need volunteers to take shifts; bring sleeping bags, chairs, umbrellas. We’ll have IMPEACH signs. Please comment here to coordinate.
Expose #PedoPOTUS!
The House of Representatives is scheduled to adjourn tomorrow for six full weeks, leaving Washington until September 9.

Cummings told us to #PayAttention. It’s important enough that they won’t #CancelRecess; not even ONE DAY.

Dear @HouseDemocrats and @SpeakerPelosi,

We're at the precipice of history.

Either we move on the Mueller testimony, or we can "wait" for the "strongest possible case."

"Waiting" means Trump controls the news cycle during 34 days of August recess

This is how we lose.
2.
It means allowing everyone to forget about the crimes Mueller laid out.

It means you've given up on the Senate.

It means you want to make this an election issue instead of an accountability one.
3. It means you want to let Trump stay in power through the election, a man who won't do anything about election security and who is ripping apart this nation.

Cancel August Recess and fight for what is right!

#ImpeachmentInquiryNow is a sad, low-ambition slogan
we're not saying fire he!
we just want...inquiry!
we don't want to be a nuisance
don't worry we won't take a stance
on obstruction or collusion
(that was our silly delusion)
but if it wouldn't make you mad—
(the way you get, just sometimes, dad,
& thrash & speak of fury & fire)
we only want just t-to inquire

never mind

Bette Midler thinks that Trump built a Trump Tower in Moscow lol. The left can't even keep their lies straight they are spinning so hard out of control now that Mueller Time failed. Come tomorrow morning they will wake up in a state of depression and surrender I guarantee it.
Go through the #ImpeachmentInquiryNow hashtag and look at all the people saying they are calling congress tomorrow and then look for those same congressional reps to vote against impeachment and watch the entire house of cards collapse right in front of their stupid faces.
Oh, and there's an election coming up, and all of these Democrats will have to both explain to their base why they never voted to impeach while at the same time trying to convince independents that Trump is a criminal. 2020 is going to be a landslide for Republicans.

Does this mean an impeachment inquiry?

That is what @HouseJudiciary @HouseIntel and the Democrats are calling on you to do Madam Speaker @SpeakerPelosi

#ImpeachmentInquiryNow
@HouseJudiciary @HouseIntel @SpeakerPelosi As to @ChuckTodd, whom I generally respect, the bad optics are, on a day such as today, caring about "optics".

On #MuellerDay, you care about the substance, and history's requirement that @HouseDemocrats impeach, or you are not doing your job as a journalist.
Mueller told us @RealDonaldTrump can be criminally prosecuted when he leaves office. I ask @RepAdamSchiff and @SpeakerPelosi to consider what history will say if a jury of his peers jails Trump for obstruction and money laundering - and they never even tried to impeach him.

#Mueller's already dealt fatal blows to Trump & GOP propagandists. He said 1) he didn’t indict b/c of OLC memo, 2) "no collusion no obstruction, total exoneration" is false, & 3) he won't address "origins" of the probe or Steele dossier b/c they’re under review. #MuellerHearing
@RepJerryNadler @HouseJudiciary 🤯🙄A Republican Sensenbrenner actually asked #Mueller this question: If you knew from the outset that your office wasn't going to indict the president (b/c OLC guideline prevented it), why even investigate him?
#MuellerHearings #MuellerHearing
@RepJerryNadler @HouseJudiciary #Mueller is calm but not exactly poker-faced. He just gave a disgusted sneer at crazy Louis Gohmert shouting that Trump "wasn't obstructing justice, he was pursuing justice because he's INNOCENT"! Even the gallery laughed. #MuellerHearings #MuellerHearing

#Resistance family: I pretty much dropped off of twitter for a couple weeks, dealing with personal shit and trying to check my rage and restlessness with the status quo. And, of course, everything is worse now, and in a couple more weeks, it will be even more worse. 1/
I'm tired. Of the fact that this Administration continues to defile our country with impunity. Tired of racists (becoming more emboldened by the day). Tired of cops getting away with (literally) murder. Tired of human beings being locked in cages like animals. 2/
I'm tired of the fact that brown Americans are made to feel as though they're not Americans (even those born here). It makes me tired that, as each day brings us closer to school starting, my stomach ties into knots, thinking about what could happen to my children there, 3/

@BreeNewsome Bree, PREACH! AMEN!

Courageous Pulitzer Prize-winning journalism as practiced & defended by those like David Cay Johnston (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Cay…) should be the MINIMUM standard for American Journalists & News Consumers.

We have a looong way to go.

1/
@BreeNewsome Tragically, Millions deny the fact that Trump has long practiced Racism AND continues to be 🇺🇸's #RacistInChief.

This GasLighting Denial on both sides of the Atlantic is DEEPLY Troubling.

Question: what too-high percentage of Social Media Platforms are used for Gaslighting?

2/
@BreeNewsome When will we in 🇺🇸 and across Europe and the World see Value in The Intolerance of Hate...especially NeoNazi Hate...especially at the institutional level.

THREAD:
Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?"

Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England, wrote this magnificent response:
(2)
"A few things spring to mind.

Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem.
For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility,
no honour and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed.

So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable,

Like Boss Tweed, Boss Pelosi sends a “fuck you” to her caucus, to
rank & file Democrats and most importantly, to Dem presidential candidates. #PowerGoneToHerHead

RIDDLE:
What's the difference between Boss Tweed & Boss Pelosi?
ANSWER: Boss Tweed had a dick.
nytimes.com/2019/07/06/opi…
.@SpeakerPelosi is trying to lay off her "pathetic" rating among the vast majority of Dems as a "left wing, socialist" thing. It's not. Her autocratic wet blanket on #ImpeachmentInquiryNow is extremely unpopular among all factions of Democrats.

They need to send lawyers & JUDGES into those torture camps along w/Fed. Marshals and take the ppl responsible for the horrifying conditions inside the Trump Concentration Camps and detain them for questioning about: ties to human trafficking & inspect their orders, charge them.
Idk 🤔
can a team of Judges go mobile monitored by lawyers and issue on the spot search & seizure warrants with Federal Marshall’s, FBI and other intelligence ppl at these concentration camps? Who else do we have the Nat. Guard/Mil? Citizens groups? Somebody! has to do this NOW!
I’ll tell you why it has to be NOW

Because they’re going to start dying in the HUNDREDS

So YOU take ur pick
Deal with it directly RIGHT NOW and save 1000’s of lives ‘before’ this broken system collapses
Or
accept the fact you ‘could have’ saved 1000’s of lives and looked away

1-All of Trump's evident grandstanding re Iran & the provocation of the situation by Pompeo/Bolton has me thinking @ what caused Mattis to resign. Here's a bit from Michael Wolff's book, "Siege, Trump Under Fire" pertaining to that situation. #SaturdayThoughts
2-pg 290. 'Siege, Trump Under Fire': On December 19...the president made two fateful decisions. Early that morning-without preparation or consultation, & bypassing the standard military & interagency review process-Trump sent out a tweet proclaiming that "[w]e have defeated ISIS
3-"in Syria," & then announced that he was withdrawing all US troops from that country. The military, diplomatic, & intelligence communities had long ago concluded that Trump's views about foreign policy gyrated peculiarly, & dangerously, on the basis of impulses & mood swings.
