#DisabilityRC has released the legal opinion it sought from eminent Int’l Human Rights Law Emeritus Prof @acbyrnes_andrew re Art 24 #CRPD. It concluded Aus is obliged to (1) build an inclusive general education system AND (2) abolish segregation for student with disability 1/ Article 24 of the CRPD obliges States Parties to transition
In his expert opinion for #DisabilityRC, Prof Byrnes also confirmed that the interpretation of Article 24 of the #CRPD set out in General Comment No. 4 is “the one that would be reached by the proper application of the accepted rules of treaty interpretation” (p.1). 2/

I support a strong private economy. That often involves tax policies which support business. I support small/med business over large corporations. Tax the bigger ones more. Help the smaller ones.
I support O&G (NOT as the only resource) & definitely a move to Green Energy. /2
I support publicly funded essential services & social safety nets. Public ed & public hc. With the reality that currently not all kids fit within public education. I support the child first as we work towards a more #InclusiveEducation. This takes collaboration at all levels. /3

Of the 22.8 million out-of-school children in Pakistan 53 per cent are girls and 47 per cent are boys. Pakistan cannot overcome its education crisis without ensuring at least 12 years of education for every Pakistani girl. #InvestInGirlsEdu

Over 135,000 students are identified as receiving reasonable adjustments in Queensland according to the survey quoted. Ms Eastman is asking about the percentage that attend state schools.
