Meet @elcopcota, a Twitter account with a stolen profile pic whose one and only original tweet contains a link to a (possible unsafe) porn site. #IndependeceDay

Is @elcopta a solo act or part of a network? Searching Twitter for tweets linking the site it promotes (flirtcontact(dot)com) turns up very little, as the site isn't linked directly in the tweet - it contains a bitly link to a blogspot page that redirects to the actual site.
We can, however, work around this by searching for tweets that A) link both bitly and blogspot and B) contain key terms (sex/sexy + various words for chatting) and filtering out false positives.

1. Many Black people have mixed feelings hearing “Happy 4th of July” on #IndependeceDay because we are an oppressed class. The irony is, many people in the dominant society you see waving the flags around acting patriotic, could give less than a damn about that flag or America
2. The ONLY group of people in America that does NOT have dual allegiances to other countries or cultures are FOUNDATIONAL BLACK AMERICANS. No one is more patriotic to America and what is REALLY means, than FBA #IndependeceDay
3. Many White Americans have dual allegiances to other society and cultures. That’s why many of these people you see pretending to be patriotic to the American Flag, are the same ones who will switch that flag with a CONFEDERATE FLAG in a heartbeat.

Some days you wake up to find a misspelled holiday hashtag trending, and today is one of those days. We captured early traffic (prior to ~7:30 AM CDT July 4th) for #IndependeceDay (sic). Some false positives related to Djibouti have been removed.

Although volume for #IndependeceDay didn't take off until July 4th, we found intermittent activity (mostly automated commercial spam) going back further. These tweets may have caused the misspelled hashtag to show up in Twitter's autocomplete feature, precipitating the trend.
In the wee hours of July 4th, three #MAGA accounts (@saywhen78, @WilkowMajority, and @ChatByCC) tweeted the erroneously-spelled #IndependeceDay hashtag and received decent retweet volume. @saywhen78's tweet appears to have been the tipping point for getting the hashtag trending.
