40 Deep #SEO Insights for 2023:

-In 2022, I told to focus on Natural Language Generation, and it happened.
-In 2023, F-O-C-U-S on "Information Density, Richness, and Unique Added Value" with Microsemantics.

I call the collection of these, "Information Responsiveness".

1/40 🧵.
1. PageRank Increases its Prominence for Weighting Sources

Reason: #AI and automation will bloat the web, and the real authority signals will come from PageRank, and Exogenous Factors.

The expert-like AI content and real expertise are differentiated with historical consistency.
2. Indexing and relevance thresholds will increase.

Reason: A bloated web creates the need for unique value to be added to the web with real-world expertise and organizational signals. The knowledge domain terms, or #PageRank, will be important in the future of a web source.

I love the index peer review list! So far, three different indexers have reviewed my latest index. They all offered different (sometimes even conflicting) advice, which is extremely helpful and interesting. It made me go back to my #indexing books and see...
... what I was taught when I just started learning indexing. It also shows that every indexer works differently and has different solutions for indexing problems. Lastly, I find it very generous that other indexers offer their time to help each other. We have a great community!
Shout-out to @FedorakIndexing for being one of the reviewers. I don't think the others are on Twitter.

1/ The #web 🌐 of today has a client-server architecture that grants tremendous power to whoever runs the server. This favors #centralization! But we may have reached the peak of centralization & the power is now slowly getting distributed!
2/ Web3 is the new layer that will enable #decentralization on a mass scale! Blockchains like #ethereum will be the north star of this new movement. 🚀

Fun Poll: At what estimated % of rows does the Oracle CBO automatically decide it too expensive to use an index and not consider associated index based access paths? (use comments if you think it another value). #Oracle #Indexing
Thank you to everyone that voted and/or commented. Interesting results indeed and an indication perhaps some Oracle myths simply refuse to go away. The correct answer is there is NO such % of rows in which the CBO will "automatically" abandon costing possible index related paths.
I first blogged about how the CBO could quite happily select an index that accessed and returned 100% of all rows in a table because it's the cheapest path, way way back in 2008... richardfoote.wordpress.com/2008/05/20/rea…
