#India: Post-Galwan clash, the #IndianNavy quietly deployed a frontline warship to the #SouthChinaSea

This was much to the displeasure of the #Chinese who raised objections over the move during the talks between the two sides
aninews.in/news/world/asi…
"Soon after the Galwan clash, the Indian Navy deployed one of its frontline warships to the South China Sea where the People's Liberation Army's Navy objects to the presence of any other force claiming the majority of the waters as part of its territory," govt sources told ANI.
The immediate deployment of the Indian Navy warship in the South China Sea had a desired effect on the Chinese Navy & security establishment as they complained to the Indian side about the Indian warship's presence there during the diplomatic level talks with the Indian side.

MMRCA 2 and some questions

1) Do the #IAF can afford the huge financial support they need ?
There's no doubt that it will take huge cost even if spanned for several years. Image
2) Accepting that IAF will have the capability to afford even 20+ Bln USD , will not investing lion share of this into indigenous development (rest for stop gap mesure procurement) will lead to a better future for IAF than procuring foreign jets ? Image
3) F-21 and Gripen E are contenders. And if LCA Mk. 2 not going to be inferior than those then why not going for larger orders for Mk. 2 instead ? With additional orders for Mk. 1A as stop gap and procuring Mk. 2 in huge no will not be a better option where SEF can be contender ? Image

The Acquisition & Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA) to be concluded at next month’s summit between PM Narendra Modi & Japanese PM Shinzo Abe would give the Indian Navy access to the Japanese military base in Djibouti and the Japanese Navy access to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Andaman and Nicobar is critical for the Japanese Navy in the Bay of Bengal region. The ACSA aims to expand Indo-Japanese strategic partnership amid an ambitious China whose aggression has unnerved many countries in Asia.

A battle tested F/18E Super Hornet that operate from short take-off but arrested recovery (STOBAR) aircraft carriers, such as the INS Vikramaditya & future INS Vikrant.

Testing showed that with a 9 degree incline, the total required takeoff roll for the F-18 can be cut in half.
Since 2016 the Indian Navy has been working to acquire a fleet of at least 57 new fighters to complement its existing MiG-29K under the Multi-Role Carrier-Borne Fighter (MRCBF) program.

The Super Hornet is competing against the MiG-29K & the naval version of the French Rafale.

Engineering a City #thread
Having spent my entire childhood in #Kochi (#Cochin ), it feels criminal to not know the story of how the city came to be the #metropolis it is today. Putting together a thread to trace the journey of the city which has been so endearingly mine (1)
Part 1: The #Malabar Mud-Banks
The story of Cochin is not just about how an engineering marvel can change social fabric, but also of many tenets of #British #Colonialism in India which is often taken for granted, passed off lazily as exploitation, missing nuance (2)
As with any coastal town, the cultural and economic history of Kochi is intertwined with maritime trade routes since the time of the Early Romans and Arabs. Thanks to the #biennale , most of us would now be familiar with the term #Muzuris (3)

Congress asks Who gave BJP/RSS the right to represent Hindus in India.

Please read Neil Mexi's answer:-

But who gave you the right to steal and claim all of India’s freedom struggle as gift/charity to Indian masses by the sole family/nepotistic dynasty - The Gandhis? Aren't you
erasing, white washing, mocking the sacrifices of millions of freedom fighters, mass heroes like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad, Subash Chandra Bose etc that laid down their lives for the country? Who gave you right to loot India for 60 years?
Who gave you right to name all airports, ports after your nepotistic family? Is India your personal property?

Who gave you right to donate India’s land coco Islands etc to other nations without seeking Indian masses permission? Is India’s land your personal property?

Kalvari Class, the Made in India , Scorpene Class submarine is being manufactured under P-75 . 6 will be manufactured, but IMO it will not be a wise decision to stop production just after six, instead at least three more Kalvaris should be manufactured.
