Have we failed in bringing up.our ‘modern’ kids?

A very distressed neighbour shared that he had driven home after a long day at work. As he entered, he saw his wife in bed with fever. She had laid out his dinner on a tray.

1
Everything was there just as he wanted it. The dal, vegetables, salad, green chutney, papad and pickles… ”How caring,” he thought,
“Even when she is unwell, she finds the strength to do everything for me.”

As he sat down to eat, he realised that something was missing.

2
He looked up at his grown up daughter, who was watching TV and said,

Beta (child), can you get me my medicine and a glass of water, please?

She rolled up her eyeballs to show her displeasure at being disturbed, but did the favour nevertheless.

One of the key Metrics of a stable company is how many employees it can retain...

I wonder what are the reasons for such high attrition.

One of our client (Trader) had GST Department Audit yesterday

A few points I noticed (Thread)

1. They came with a list of mismatch with books & 2A (books input that was sent by us)

They came up with a mismatch of 53 lakhs worth of Input (When reconciled with 2A ..

1/n
.. 2A online we found there was no such mismatch and they were shocked as on their end it was not showing these bills in 2A)

They were shocked but I had experience of #GSTN portal, all thanks to #Infosys

One point of SCN was cancelled

2/n
2. This Audit came to this client because of 3 factors:

- Inward E-Way bills were reduced to almost Nil as the client Godown was in the same Godowns Area requiring no motor vehicle to transport goods from purchaser to their premises

- There was reversal of 1 crore + due..

I have worked with Infosys and other IT companies for 10 years, let me explain why the mess up with tax portal happened and how #TCS attacked #Infosys indirectly through this ₹4200 crore IT portal project in this 🧵
When it comes to handling government projects TCS is the real king, not only in India they run government projects for many countries, TCS have decades of experience and expertise in handling various govt projects successfully.
TCS handles major project like Passport Seva Kendra, India Post and IRCTC. We all know how flawless these portals are. Infosys won the Tax project through a bidding process. The Income Tax portal was previously run by TCS. Once TCS lost its project to Infy, problem started.

A thread of now tech is changing gears in banking & financial domain.

The banking is undergoing a tremendous change with the adoption of the technology. The business that's mainly run by legacy systems is now digitally transforming.
However, there is a catch. There are companies that offer digital transformation solutions to the legacy systems. Companies such as #IntellectDesign

Then there are digitally native banks such as #Kakaobank that's fully digital since inception.
In fact, #kakaobank was build based on "technology to process" approach. While traditional banks struggle with "process to technology".

Real story of American Dollar v/s Indian Rupee
(Very Interesting Thread)

An Advice to all who are worrying about fall of Indian Rupee.

Throughout the country, please stop using cars except for emergency for only seven days (Just 7 days)

1/n
Definitely Dollar rate will come down. This is true.

The value to dollar is given by petrol only. This is called Derivative Trading. America has stopped valuing its Dollar with Gold 70 years ago.

2/n
Americans understood that Petrol is equally valuable as Gold so they made Agreement with all the Middle East countries to sell petrol in Dollars only.

That is why Americans print their Dollar as legal tender for debts.

In next series of tweets, I will try to present a few key highlights on Indian Tech companies. Often I hear that people want to invest in US cuz India does not offer many product companies. It is mere illusion! Let's see where we go with this series
India started as IT outsourcing hub, grew in size, made lives of many. Remained predominantly services provider. It still is, but it is transforming too. Indian IT is no longer pure services provider.
IT companies usually build reusable software components that can be wrapped to make an accelerator - something that can accelerate a functionality implemented for a new customer. All major IT companies used to have high regards for accelerator building in the past.
