Do non-binary people belong in women’s organisations? I think yes -- if they want to be. This is a thread about why… 🧵

#TransAwarenessWeek
1/ Many non-binary people were assigned female at birth (afab) and in many cases lived as a woman for 20, 30 or more years before realising they were non-binary. They have usually experienced all of the same challenges as women. Some have had children...
2/ So non-binary people who were assigned female at birth will often already have spent much of their life in, and feel deeply at home in the women-led battle against patriarchy.

What about non-binary people who were not assigned female at birth?

#RoeVsWade should be the moment “Gender Critics” snap out of their radicalisation. Their “leaders” JKR, KS, AB, HS, HJ etc have been canoodling with the very same people who have helped make this happen 1/9 🧵🪡
They liaise & accept funds from the far right, religious orgs, the media & corrupt governments. Please reflect on their hate & who they are pals with. This is a crossroads for you all to stop & join in fighting the real dangers facing women and society 2/9
See that they want to control you & strip away your rights just as much as they want to strip away the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. 3/9

In case you didn’t know, today is Black Women’s Equal Pay Day.

Never heard of it? That’s probably because you’re thinking of the Equal Pay Day we celebrated on March 31. But for Black Women and other women of color, the wage gap is much wider than the $.80 you’ve heard about.
So what is Equal Pay Day?

#EqualPayDay is meant to symbolize how much more women need to work to earn what non-Hispanic white men do. It’s determined by the National Committee on Pay Equity how many additional days women need to work to earn what men earned the prior year.
Black women will have had to work until *today* to earn what their white, non-Hispanic male counterparts earned in 2019. That’s 226 days!

✨🗣 Exciting news y'all!!! 🗣✨

The Freedom School for Intersectional Medicine and Health Justice (intersectionalmedicine.org) is excited to announce its inaugural....

Freedom School Healing & Health Justice Fellowship!!

It's lit! We out here!! 🙅🏽‍♀️🔥🔥🔥 Image
We've heard from y'alls inquiries on how we build interdisciplinary coalitions for health justice. This fellowship is a 9-month opportunity for people committed to creating intersectional healing, initiatives that advocate for collective liberation and healing for all people.
Through this fellowship, we believe we can most effectively cultivate and learn from leaders who embody our Freedom School philosophy: Healing and transforming ourselves as we transform and heal our communities. Change starts with us.

It’s so funny and ironic how #liberals call #RadicalFeminism#WhiteFeminism”, yet, I’ve come across so much actual #racism directed at me and other #GenderCritical black women from self-righteous #trans activists/allies and libfems. 🙄
I’ve gotten more racism from that crowd in the past two weeks than I’ve gotten from any #RadicalFeminists in two months. Or any amount of time. Liberals routinely erase the radical #WomenOfColor from history who either called themselves #radfems or influenced radical feminism so
that they can call radical feminism “white”, misappropriate #Intersectionality from #BlackFeminism to try and justify including males in #feminism, argue that “transwomen are women the same way Black women are women”, (racist and dehumanizing comparison of black women to males),

#SundayMorning & I'm still tweeting. Today I'm adding this thread. If you think Bernie is the only issue w/#womensconvention pls read 1/
The so-called #womensconvention is a farce. It was a chance to invite a diverse collection of anti-Democrats to an alt Party Convention. /2
I researched the bios of the 40+ speakers listed on the website & discovered about 25% of them are past or present Bernie supporters /3
