There are whole conversations among black journalists, activists/analysts behind the scenes about 2020 politics that will never see the light of day because mainstream media isn't ready for it, and would potentially punish the participants for their honest opinions. It's a shame
There are so many, ugly, beautiful, vital complicated truths about what black voters are saying out there, that black journalists record and derive their analysis from, but they are often (not always) forced to distill the stories into language that non-Poc readers can understand
I say this in a week where there's a harsh truth being ignored abt the #IowaCaucusResults : No matter who wins, Black voters in SC, CA, MA and MN will determine who wins the Democratic nomination. And the voices who know those voters best should be centered in more discussions

2. From my post: "Because of the way the math was done at the caucuses, many precincts wound up with an extra delegate that got 'assigned' to one of the candidates at the end of the caucus. We were able to look at worksheets from 18 precincts that were posted on Twitter." #Iowa
