It's been a long time, but finally I got enough to talk about Oracle Engine! This is an indie game developed by Yoshikazu Moriyama with cover art by aldarsign here on the twitters (I feel awkward pinging). Apparently the game was crowdfunded, so that's pretty neat! #JTRPGInfo 
You'll have to pardon this one though, as it's an indie game there isn't a lot of art. Anyway, this game is set in a world called Noin (kind of like saying 'no win'). On Noin, there are six gods that oversee the world, and they play a major role in the background. #JTRPGInfo
The major conflict is that 15 years ago, creatures called "corruption beasts" (堕落獣) appeared, and by their very nature they drain everything around them of all mana and oracle. They destroy the world just by existing. Naturally this sucks, so Drivers stepped up. #JTRPGInfo
It's not the weekend, but let's talk about another JTRPG, Night Wizard! Designed by Takeshi Kikuchi of FEAR, I'm actually going to be talking mostly about 2E Night Wizard instead of the more recent 3E, and I'll explain why. Come along, will you?~ #JTRPGInfo
First, a summary of what it is. Night Wizard is a modern fantasy RPG, wherein magic-wielding heroes called Wizards battle shapeshifting evils wanting to deprive you of your prana, called Emulators. Except one wrong move, and they could all be deleted. Whoops. #JTRPGInfo
Night Wizard was first published in 2002, but I never got my hands on any of the 1st edition. Instead, the 2nd edition, published in 2007, was where I got my start. Right alongside the anime that ran roughly at the same time! Unfortunately I don't think it's streaming. #JTRPGInfo

Dracurouge is a game about knights. Noble knights, who protect the commonfolk from monstrous horrors in the Everdark, a land of eternal night. They are ageless, immortal, and require warmth from other people. But they are knights. K-N-I-G-H-T-S. Okay? #JTRPGInfo
Once upon a time, the Great Ancestor of these noble knights, Dracul, went and destroyed the hated sun, purging it from the sky. The foul sunlight burned many knights that day, including Dracul himself. But never fear, the knights did not die out. Indeed, they thrived! #JTRPGInfo
For my first game, I'll be talking about Tenka Ryoran! It's made by Ukyo Kodachi and published by F.E.A.R., using their venerable SRS system. The tagline for this game is "Super Time-Space Period Drama," as in, a samurai game with time (and demon!) shenanigans. #JTRPGInfo

Tenkan Ryoran is set in the Edo Period. In this setting, there are creatures I might call Twisted (妖異), which are born from the darkness in human hearts. Opposing them are humans called... maybe Masters (英傑) who possess supernatural abilities. #JTRPGInfo
