First and foremost, the UI/UX team helped me out a TON! @_DaanishSyed had the AWESOME idea for every BD customization faceplate to get its own custom BD-Noculars design.

We always designed with accessibility in mind!
We were able to push the visual design limits because the player can always press Triangle to use the default binoculars.
Beacons colors are separated by common color blindness with triple encoding: shape, symbol, and color.

#JediFallenOrder hat einen sehr guten Leumund. Das hat nicht nur den Grund, dass es ein hervorragendes Game ist. Viel mehr noch: es ist frei von Mikrotransaktionen und Service Game-Mechaniken.

My guesses had ranged from Dark Jedi from the Unknown Regions, to members of the Lost Tribe of the Sith, to Sith from the Old Republic via the World Between Worlds, to Bane and Zannah themselves.
But I think ultimately the key is in their orange blades and what those symbolize.

We clearly see true red blades in this teaser with the Inquisitor, so this is not a stylistic choice or unfinished vfx, the blades are orange, but a reddish orange, intentionally.
