Missing GP appointments is serious, & most Doctors surgeries make it clear to patients that it has consequences.
But there are many legitimate reasons why patients miss appointments & fines would disproportionately hit already poor/marginalised groups.

The mock grades are unfair for multiple reasons (who does better in mocks?), but also the fact people cheat, people see the question papers, leaving lots of students feeling stupid.

This graph shows the increase in outbreaks in schools. A PHE Report (24/06) shows schools now rank above hospitals for infections. The reopening of schools is a contributing factor to an overall increase in detections outside hospitals, as outbreaks start to rise again
