Tánaiste @LeoVaradkar has today announced the Micro-Enterprise Assistance Fund to help businesses with fewer than 10 employees which are ineligible for existing grants.

This provides a grant of up to €1,000 to help them adapt and invest to rebuild their business.
Tánaiste @LeoVaradkar made the announcement at @KildareLeisure in Naas.

"Now is the time to shop local and I encourage everyone to think of their local business owner when doing their weekly shop or looking to buy something.”
As part of the #JobsStimulus funding is also being increased to @Loc_Enterprise Offices to extend existing programmes, such as the ‘Lean for Micro’ programme to all businesses employing less than 10.

A new €5.5m #COVID19 Online Retail Scheme is being launched by Minister @Damien_English.

Administered by @Entirl, this will support retail businesses in enhancing their digital capacity, drive online sales and grow their customer base.

This forms part of the #JobsStimulus
The #COVID19 Online Retail Scheme is targeted at indigenous retailers with a pre-existing online presence.

This fund will accelerate their online offerings to respond to both domestic and international consumer demand.

Grants from the #COVID19 Online Retail Scheme range from €10k to €40k, covering up to 80% of project costs.

This can be used to fund fees for service providers, develop and implement a digital strategy, and enhance the retailer’s website. #JobsStimulus

Access to the Revenue Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme (EWSS) within the July Jobs Stimulus will bring total funding provided by Government to the sector between 24 August and 31 December to just under €300m.
A special exemption for early learning and childcare services to the turnover rule within EWSS will be included to recognise the need to retain capacity in the sector and support parents to access childcare places and get back to work.
