It was the first special not to have any of the kid voice cast from the first special voicing characters in it. It's about Schroder wanting to perform for a PTA meeting but doesn't want to do rock music. The special has a good smattering of Beethoven music. #Peanuts70

30 years ago today: the block of Disney programming on local stations in syndication was given a name , The Disney Afternoon. #Joshuaonline
The block started the year before with no name, and also is party a reason why FOX kids exists. The block ran with the name until 1997. The market place was being squeezed and Disney also had focus on their new SAT am block on ABC. #Joshuaonline
Most stations that aired the block had to push it to a different time or give up on it to fit, Fox Kids, Kids WB or UPN kids ,or drop it for programs for adults that would get them more money. Eventually the block was replaced by Disney's One To on UPN in 1999. #Joshuaonline

of note : They aren't airing "Paranorman" this year (boo!) , also they actually cut back on "Hocus Pocus" including no Halloween Marathon. Some classic Disney Channel Halloween movies are airing. The 2016 Ghostbusters is coming. Schedules seems less repetitive than before.
