A Thread on Ratio analysis and respective charts
No need to grab a coffee,Chai will do😄

The idea is to identify relatively stronger sectors & stocks when breadth is weak

Breadth=DT 1% (No of stocks in Double top buy on 1% PnF chart)

Breadth started falling from 14th Jan 2022
So we need to identify sectors which remained resilient when market breadth was falling.

We will look back 8 trading sessions and any score above or equal to 5 is bullish (63% of times Sector outperformed benchmark)
Mean reversals are best suited for current market breadth scenario. Once we have identified the sector the next step is to identify stocks in same fashion.

However the idea is to pick only stocks which are taking support near 50 or 200 EMA

Let us begin with first sector 👇

Option selling strategy thread 🧵

*Capital must be above 6lac

*Target only banknifty (weekly expiry)

* Target 1/2% per week

* combine premium should above 100

Two types of strategy normally i use

⚡ directional

⚡Non directional (strangle)
⚡Direction - when banknifty & out of 5 major banking stocks 2 given breakout or breakdown.

(5 major banks 🏦 - #hdfcbank #icicibank #kotakbank #sbi #axisbank)
✨Breakout - when #banknifty gives breakout & 2/3 banks looking strong.

Then mark swing low of #banknifty & start selling 200 points down strike puts and add more at support line.

If swing support broken then exit.

A simple beginning in this long journey.🙏

Let us choose the most simplest & most effective of all tools - #Elliottwave
IF the name sounds complex & alien to you, let us call it just #Wave - Why ?
In the market, Prices never flow like a river but unfold like waves.. yes., waves
#Waves advance, then retrace and with each advance & retraces, they gather strength & thus the subsequent advances grow in strength & intensity until they blow themselves up. Then, they go into a quiet mode.
This is Nature's Law; Crowd behaviour and we deal with just that.
What this Nature's Law states is that the advances & declines follow "Fibonacci sequences"
1, (1+1)2, (2+1)3, (3+2)5, (5+3)8, (8+5)13, (13+8)21 & so on...
It has been observed by Ralph.N.Elliott (1939) that these advances move in 5 waves followed by a 3 wave decline - 12345 & abc

Respected all sir
I have observe that many times after high volume candle formed stocks price drop and that high volume candle's high is protected and break that high by another high volume candle only.

Here are some examples.
I have cover all large, mid and small cap stocks ImageImageImageImage

while selecting stocks

Basically, you don't want stocks which are not moving organically, doing pump/dump, staying flat, or forming too many gaps

These were NR7 stocks which I rejected because of above reasons:
Results of the Day: 4/10 Stocks gave tradeable moves

A tricky, no easy setups day today

1/4 : #KOTAKBANK : PROFIT : +1.7R

As posted earlier:

It gave a loss of -1R, followed by another signal giving +2R

A covid age travel story. I’ll be sharing my experience of traveling in a repatriation flight from Dublin Bangalore. Flight date 26 May ‘20. Can’t wait to be home with mom and play board games n cards ❤️ #familytime #COVID #indiainireland #VandeBharat #home #Flythenewnormal Image
Landed in Delhi. Waited for ~3 hours in the flight afterwhich we were told there is another aircraft been arranged due to a tech fault. Waiting since ~6 hours now. It’s very tough to wear the shield and the mask all thru out. Very suffocating. No ventilation / AC in the airport
After ~9 hours of wait, we were asked to board another AI ✈️ at the delhi airport. Walking from one gate to another with shields and masks amidst high security felt abnormal. There was tension in the air. Image

Many traders follow different types of moving average crossover #TradingStrategy but the main problem with such MA/EMA cross over system is whipsaws. How one could reduce such false breakouts and also gain from large trend ? Image
The answer is move to larger time frame.
Buy rules: Go long when 10 EMA is greater than 50 EMA
Sell rules: Exit when 10 EMA is lesser than 50 EMA
Time frame: Weekly
Many of us must have invested in stocks like Yes Bank, #DHFL, #Graphite, #HEG etc. All these stocks were once a fundamentally strong stocks but due to sudden shift all these stocks tanked. Following this strategy rules would have helped you to exit at the right time.

#TweetStorm - Expensive or deserves to be Expensive ? 1)One thumb rule for screening expensive companies is Market Cap to Sales or Enterprise Value to Sales. A 10x or more is generally expensive unless the company can grow sales rapidly or has extremely high Net Profit Margins.
2)Another way to look at expensive is if the Market Cap is equal to the Total Sales of the Addressable Market Size. This would lead to company having to launch different products in the future.
3)May not be the approach to take a Sell Decision or a Short Sell Decision. Very few companies can command such high valuations. Thumb Rule is just to review the investment thesis and the quality of the business. If doubts on quality , get out.

Friends,
Here is a thread wherein I shall post Trading related observations & answers to some of queries I receive from traders.

It will be a running thread; as and when I come across something interesting shall post here.

Q: Why non-directional Options buying, on event day, is not good idea?
A: IVs are already High before event, anticipating post event big move. If one buys ATM CE & PE in hope of big profit in 1 leg overcompensating other, it may not work unless market really rips up or down

1/2
E.g: 11900 Straddle...
Today Vix rose even post #RBIPolicy & closed near High.
Still, rise in 11900 PE couldn't compensate fall in 11900 CE.
Thus, 11900 Straddle kept falling thruout session...

Img1 shows #Vix
Img2 shows #Nifty Spot & 11900 Straddle price at different times... ImageImage
