There are many things to explore in the movies of #KVishwanath but one thing I had always found fascinating is the women characters in his movies, strong, well written characters, and he bought the best out in every actress.

And it started with one of his early movies Sharada, not that well known to many. The titular character played by Sharada herself, is a naive innocent village girl, married to a doctor played by Shoban Babu who unfortunately dies on the first night, in an accident. 
She however believes her husband is still alive, and then meets his look alike, a pyschiatrist who comes to her village for a function. On her brother Madhava(Satyanarayana)'s request he agrees to act as her husband to help her mentally. A terrific performance by Sharada.
The man who gave us so many classics - Shankarabharanam, Saptapadi, Sagara Sangamam, Sirivennela, Swaatimuthyam, Swayamkrushi, Swarnakamalam, Swathikiranam is no more. Om Shanti Kalatapasvi #KVishwanath gaaru, truly one of the greats of Indian cinema.
Viswanath gaaru was an equally good actor too in later phase of his life, movies like Kalisundaam Raa, Subhasankalpam, Mr.Perfect all testimony to his acting skills. People like him are born once in a generation. #KVishwanath
In an era when rampant commercialization marked Telugu cinema, Vishwanath gaaru stood his ground, making movies that were truly artistic yet appealed to the ordinary masses. As Chiru once put it- He doesn't make art cinema , he makes movies close to the heart.
Woke up to the news of the demise of director #KViswanath Garu. Had written this piece long ago for the leftist site, when he was awarded the prestigious #DadasahebPhalke award. K Viswanath was indeed the Renaissance Man of Telugu cinema.

Back to Vigyan Bhavan! That day, then VP Shri @MVenkaiahNaidu Garu had hosted a private party in his honour. I am hardly a ‘party person’ in the Delhi sense of it, but went and attended this. To meet the legend and thank him for his contribution to enriching our lives.
