I was at the UN right after the #GulfWar. I had something dreadful to say abt #SaddamHussein on a daily basis, which he deserved b/c he invaded #Kuwait. The Iraqi media compared me to an unparalleled serpent. I happened to have a snake pin, and wore it to my next meeting on Iraq.
The press asked me about it, I thought, “Well, this is fun.” On good days, I wore flowers butterflies & balloons, on bad days, all kinds of bugs & carnivorous animals, as an additional way of expressing what I was saying a visual way to deliver a message.

I say “arrested in the last 24 hours” and people have a legal right to be brought before a judge within 24 hours of arrest, but many people wait much longer.
The reason there are excessive delays tonight is b/c there's an issue w/ fingerprinting in central booking. When I arrive the courtroom is empty, but for some @CourtWatchNYC volunteers. I say hi & tell them about the problem, b/c I don't want them to be waiting for nothing.

1. At the outset, thanks to everyone for their thoughtful engagement with my tweets evaluating the "perjury" claims against Kavanaugh, which I deeply appreciate (even -- or especially -- when folks disagree with me). Sorry I can't respond to all individually.
2. The Kavanaugh testimony being evaluated for truthfulness comes from his judicial confirmation hearings -- in 2004 and in 2006, for the D.C. Circuit, and last week, for #SCOTUS. One needs to keep this important fact in mind at all times.

The GOP is hellbent on pushing the #KavanaughConfirmation through. If Democrats walked out and he were seated, he'd have far LESS legitimacy on the bench than if they went through the motions of what they called a "sham" proceeding.

Wow, this interaction says all you need to know abt Brett Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh is so embroiled in toxic GOP politics that as a nominee for the Supreme Court Judge Kavanaugh is unwilling to even shake the hand of the father of a victim of gun violence, regardless of his politics.
They say a picture is worth 1000 words, well this picture of Brett Kavanaugh refusing to shake the hand of Ferd Guttenberg should be worth a lifetime appointment.
