Thank you for calling out the fabrication of the history in this #Kesari movie!

A few corrections on the following take of yours.

1. Shabkadar/Shankargarh was attacked by Momand Pashtuns not by Afridis.
2. This attack wasn't the start of Jehad or revolt of 1897-98; if the cut over Date of Durand agreement is to be agreed upon then the Chitral Campaign of 1895 contributed, in general, to the raising of the Pashtuns in revolt for the fear of loss of sovereignty/freedom.
One event that happened in June 1897 in Tochi Valley (disaster of Maizer village) where locals revolted against the imposition of fines by the British, could be regarded as start of the revolt but there is disagreement on it ,on the British/Indian part.

The battle of Saragarhi – The cover-up of a failure marketed as a brave sacrifice.

Let us look at the colonial literature on the Pashtun revolt of 1897-98 and figure out what actually happened when Pashtuns rose in revolt back then.

Looks like the movie #Kesari , #KesariTrailer got it all wrong with who were the invaders and who were the defenders. Pashtuns were defending their land and INVADERS were the British-Indian army. I think it should not be that hard to understand.
Pashtuns numbering 10,000 is unsubstantiated. Please go to the 3D map in attachment and look at the mountains and its surrounding and think for yourself if there was any possibility for such a large number to gather from the scarcely populated area.
