On March 2, the russians launched a missile attack on the Palace of Labor building in the very heart of Kharkiv, not far from the city administration building.

The monumental building of the Palace of Labor was built in 1916, it survived the WWII and became a concentration of offices and retail premises. Unfortunately, because of the russians, now this is a concentration of rubble, the removal of which began in June.

The Sviato-Uspensky (Dormition) Cathedral. This cathedral, together with The Annunciation Cathedral & The Pokrovsky Cathedral, which I wrote about earlier, form the “golden triangle” of cathedrals in Kharkiv.

The modern building of the cathedral was built in 1771-1777 with donations from parishioners, and the first mention of the cathedral dates back to 1657, when a wooden church was first built on this site.

The Oleksandrivska bell tower, located next to the cathedral, was built in 1844 and until 2006 was the tallest building in #Kharkiv. Its height is 89.5 meters and it is the second highest bell tower in Ukraine.
