The Mbuti people, Ota Benga lived near the Kasai River in the Congo. His people were killed by the Force Publique, established by King Leopold II of Belgium. Benga lost his wife and two children, surviving only because he was on a hunting expedition when the Force Publique
attacked his village. He was later captured by slavers.

Benga was “purchased” by one Samuel Phillips Verner, and transported to the Bronx Zoo. He was caged in the Monkey House labeled. Eventually Benga was released to African Americans in Brooklyn, and later moved to an outpost

of their community in Lynchburg, Virginia. In the late afternoon of 19 March 1916, Benga gathered wood to build a fire in the field. He danced around the fire. That night, he retrieved a gun from an old shed and fired a single bullet through his own heart.

I explained this in my tweets on trade expectancy. Both ways work: high winrate (WR) & low risk/reward (RR), or low WR & high RR.

So someone risking $200 to make $100 will make just as much as someone risking $100 to make $200. but he'll need a 83% WR, the other only needs a 50%
So why do I recommend high RR?

1 there is no pressure to "be right". u can be wrong 2-3x in a row & make it all back in 1 trade

2 there is no fear of stopping out of bad trades (#1 reason traders blowup), since each loss is only a fraction of ur avg win.

#BearTipOfTheDay
But with high winrate strategies, you cant afford to be wrong. one loss can erase 2, 3 or even 5 wins. That places IMMENSE pressure on the trader's psychology, forcing him to avoid losses at all costs. This leads to revenge trading, cancelling stops, fighting losers etc. No bueno

ADF score for today not bearish enough (80% long). According to my risk management rules & historical performance, that usually means "take ZERO shorts today/Buy ZERO puts" since my best days are when the model flashes 80-100% short. But been a sick week so got a bit greedy
so cut size in half and took 2 impulsive trades anyway. Got stopped out on first one and second one ($NFLX) didnt go into profit right away (my WIPQ rule). all the signs I need to stop trading for the day until all signals line up again. Not gonna ruin a great week.
Why do I have all these weird ass rules in place? As I always say, rules are not just meant to protect u against the market, they are meant to protect u against YOURSELF. if my signals say "dont short" and i short anyway, & the trade doesnt work RIGHT away i get the fuck out!!
