This is not untrue, but grossly misleading. Yes Britain, at the height of the epidemic, was reporting 50k cases a day and 1,750 deaths. See chart 1. In population terms britain had far more cases and deaths (Chart 2)

+ Meanwhile in Canada we are not doing too well either, as @hayleywoodin reports we are on a ban list for travel to the USA. We Canadians were also commenting adversely on the situation in the USA last year, we are not looking good now, especially in Vancouver, Toronto & Quebec.

Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Uttarakhand government on Wednesday, March 24, made it mandatory for the Kumbh Mela devotees to bring negative RT-PCR report.
Chief Secretary Om Prakash said the Uttarakhand High Court has issued clear directives in this regard making it mandatory to bring a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours or a vaccination report for attending the Kumbh.
Haridwar, alone, reported 71 cases out of the total 200 active cases reported in the state in the last 24 hours.
