1/ Normally I pass quickly through #KurdistanIraq on way to North Syria. But this time I decided to take time to drive around &explore this beautiful region.

Let me show you some nice places I visited today. I hope you enjoy this.

@akhbar 2/ This is a rural area which depends on farming and agriculture.

Roughly 100 kms north or Erbil, cows walk along the Great Zab river which has high water levels due to the melting snow on mountains.

@akhbar 3/ Further north, the Shanidar cave is located. It is a pretty steep climb with a temperature of 36 degrees during the day.

But it was really nice to eventually reach the cave. Very cool inside.
