I really hope straight people don't circumvent tonight's #LGBTQforum to make it all about them yet again.
On Oct. 8 the US Solicitor General was arguing--on your tax dollars--that lesbian, gay and trans Americans are non-persons under the law. This is still a real thing.
In 2019, LGBTQ Americans are 2nd class non-person entities without any of the most basic protections that everyone else in America has.
Every lesbian I know, including me & The Wife, has been fired from at least one job for being gay. I was 19 the 1st time I was denied a lease.2/
The Wife and I have been together for 20yrs. But it has only been legal for us to marry for four--or file a joint tax return. It would not be legal for us to foster or adopt a child in most states. The biases against LGBTQ people in every arena are extreme and life-altering.

An article about the moderator's bias during the #LGBTQforum

Harris an LGBTQ hero was framed as untrustworthy. Warren was positioned as the one to lead transphobic people into the light.
Here is the video & glaring bias especially considering Senator Warren was a Republican through the AIDS crisis & little LGBTQ work. Senator Harris has been an LGBTQ hero.

Same question framed differently to falsely imply Senator Harris is untrustworthy

A leader

Hillary's policing reforms required community collaboration and implicit bias training. She also called for body cams and more judicial dept involvement in civil rights issues (this is for police shootings). She also called to end private prisons /2

Extraordinary piece from @nytimes on #LGBTQforum
In the relentless MSM effort to keep Biden ascendant, zero mention of @KamalaHarris and her long record on groundbreaking support for LGBTQ people.
Joe Biden Has Tense Exchange Over L.G.B.T.Q. Record
Nor was there any mention of @ewarren's deeply moving recitation of the names of murdered trans women--18 this year so far, two in 10 days. No mention of @amyklobuchar who got fierce applause, nor @JulianCastro, a longtime LGBTQ supporter.
While @CoryBooker Is mentioned, it is mostly reactively to Biden. With the exception of @KamalaHarris, few Dem politicians can claim the level of commitment Booker has shown to LGBTQ community.
Oh also, @PeteButtigieg is actually gay and his candidacy is historic.
