There are some errors in votes in KZN 225 (Msunduzi).
The effect of correcting these would add over 2,000 votes into the calculations for the Quota, and seat allocations.
This would take a seat away from the IFP, and give it to the NFP.

The reason that other parties can affect the IFP is that votes were "lost". Putting them back means that the #Quota goes up. The IFP and NFP are very close on #Remainder, and raising the Quota decreases Remainder for any party that already has seats.

EC, FS, Gauteng, Lim, N Cape and NW were published on Nov 8, while KZN, MP and W Cape were published on Nov 9.
To my knowledge, no public announcement has been made.

It would be very helpful if @IECSouthAfrica was to publish a full list of the Voting Station result changes since the announcement of the results on Nov 4, along with details of any seat allocation changes.

There is an odd situation in two nearby voting stations in Moorton, Chatsworth in Ethekwini.
Moorton Community Hall and Dawnridge Primary both have 0 Ward spoilt ballots, but many PR spoilt. The issue is that there are matching Ballots Cast discrepancies,
There is an odd situation in two nearby voting stations in Moorton, Chatsworth in Ethekwini.
Moorton Community Hall and Dawnridge Primary both have 0 Ward spoilt ballots, but many PR spoilt. The issue is that there are matching Ballots Cast discrepancies,
meaning that effectively 137 and 61 extra PR ballots respectively were cast in each place, AND that these were all spoiled.
It is difficult to say what transpired here, but this is the type of situation that ought to be investigated.

The only scenario with the #IEC is not at fault would be if 198 members of a community walked into the respective voting stations, took both ballots, cast a spoiled PR ballot, and walked out of the voting station with the Ward ballot in their pocket.

Anything public online about them (social profiles, LinkedIn for experience, press) as well as their age and whether they are running in one or multiple wards. I’d love parties to actually intro us to candidates, but is this 1) useful and 2) working for you?
Ok, the address/ward boundary issue should now be working. Everyone has been so gracious and amazing with this, would really help to confirm addresses are lining up with wards now <3
