Flight #LY971 from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi is undoubtedly historic. The air routes between the TLV and AD/Dubai once Etihad and Emirates start flying regularly will probably be the Middle East’s busiest route & will open up Asia and Australia to more Israeli travel.
Geopolitically, the UAE Israel route will significantly reduce the importance of the Chinese New Silk Road. America is there, but Britain and Europe totally absent.
Ironically, El Al will probably be the biggest loser when Etihad and Emirates flights to Tel Aviv start! Israelis mostly use it to go to Asia (along with Turkish airlines)...
