Larry Kramer es uno de los activistas LGBT+ más importantes de la historia. Su nombre está a lado de figuras como Harvey Milk o Marsha P. Johnson. Su lucha fue contra el sida, fue la voz que definió la acción en contra de la enfermedad y posteriormente del VIH.
A Larry Kramer lo caracterizó una cosa: el enojo. En 1981 fundó la Gay Men’s Health Crisis, la primera organización para personas con VIH. La fundó en su departamento de Nueva York, tras darse a conocer la nota del New York Times sobre “El raro cáncer” que atacaba a homosexuales.
