I'd like to pick up on a key point - Namely how the #TRA movement is "driven by pure Narcissism". More specifically, how the tactics deployed by #TRAs reflect those of Narcissistic Abuse. Thread. (1/10)
Narcissistic abuse consists of various tactics as outlined here: psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/toxic-… And Narcissists require two key souces of Narcissistic supply: Admiration and Attention. Two such individuals who have gained much attention are @ shaneellall and @ elianarubashkyn (2/10)
In the case of Lal, prior to @ThePosieParker's visit to #LetWomenSpeakAuckland he published an article calling for a counter-protest, in which he states: "I have attended many protests, but this is the first time I feel fearful for my safety." (3/10)

If anyone claims the Trans Right's (#TRAs) movement is about 'love & acceptance' just show them this thread. It is anything but - it is violent, misogynistic, homophobic, and driven by pure Narcissism. Even most Far-Right groups do not behave like this. #LetWomenSpeakNZ (1/10)
Here's some video footage showing barriers being kicked down (The boundaries of others tends to be an issue for #TRAs and the TQ+ movement).

Here's video footage of an elderly woman being savagely beaten up. Which is par for the course, considering the violent rhetoric of 'Trans rights' activists (pictured). #TRAs #LetWomenSpeakNZ #LetWomenSpeakAuckland (3/10)

It’s not just historically white countries that fall prey to the lure of exceptionalism. It’s a very human condition, the feeling that you and your people are special.

I read this thread in the knowledge that New Zealand has the highest rate of domestic violence in the developed
world.
1 in 3 women experience intimate partner harm. 1 in 2 for psychological abuse. 1 in 8 men report being victims of family violence. Physical or sexual abuse affects 58% of Māori women over their lifetime - that’s 1 in 2. Add in other forms of violence and that rises to 80%.

Does that sound like a people with the secret to peace, love and happiness?

In Wales, we’re also not immune to the self-soothing lie that we can be the exception.

We see it in @WelshGovernment’s #LGBTQActionPlan which purports to

🧵 I thought I’d share what i was going to read out at #LetWomenSpeakAuckland - some of it is abbreviated.
2/ What I write is unlikely to convince the rabid mob who are invested & committed to their narrative. Nonetheless, I write this for the much larger number of people on the periphery who may see their nonsense and accept it as truth without context.
3/ First of all, I do not hate trans people in the slightest. I do not wish them ill will and I think there are definitely ways we could address the challenges they face in society to ensure they can live full and healthy lives.
