Article by @SJB1969London & @Telegraph today. Be interesting to see how @TowerHamletsNow @MayorJohnBiggs @Dan_Bromley_N & @Kevin_J_Brady who thinks delays are “out of context” views this with emails from @Ldn_Ambulance & @LondonFire saying #LiveableStreets should be “suspended” ImageImageImageImage

(1) I think "#LTNs" have become toxic.
I think all the nicely worded language:
"#ModalFilters" "#Liveablestreets" "#ActiveStreets" "#PeopleFriendlyStreets" have all become toxic..
They've all been made toxic by the zealot people who tried to impose THEIR unrealistic idealism.
(2) There are necessary surface changes that locals can identify very easily & many have been ignored by the council for years.
(3) Roll out and increase the number of electric charging points to encourage those, who need their cars, to make the change from traditional fuels to electric.

Support local communities and businesses to maintain community while encouraging healthier and more active lives.

More propaganda from @MayorJohnBiggs! Leaflet forced thro our letterboxes moans about government cuts, #Covid19UK crisis, affects on disabled & elderly & yet one huge biggest cost is #LiveableStreets which due to TFLcuts @Dan_Bromley_N wants funded out of Section 106/CIL money!
In case anyone accuses us of lies ... here it is straight from @TowerHamletsNow ... £10 million short for the controversial unwanted road blocking scheme that will, due to limited access by emergency services, put all our lives at risks, especially elderly, disabled & vulnerable.
£10 million better spent on uneven broken pavements, lighting, catching drug dealers, reinstating Meals on Wheels, reopening disabled centres, rid council of its 200 diesel vehicles, take cladding off 282 buildings in the borough, proper refuse collection ....the list is endless!
