And this is incredible…👇🏼@Zubhaque @ProfColinDavis

On Oct 16th 21 - on the @UKHSA website - the ONLY symptoms mentioned are -
High temp
New continuous cough
Loss or change in taste or small.

There is a mention of “children” but NOT that they may have DIFFERENT symptoms?!

What about getting a #PCR test?

Oh look…the SAME 3 SYMPTOMS, NO OTHERS!

NO MENTION of headache,sore throat,shortness of breath, fatigue,loss of appetite,runny nose,aches & pains,diarrhoea,nausea,
vomiting?
In kids - abdominal pain, odd rashes & joint pains/redness? NOTHING!

In the past 3/7, I’ve seen 8 adults w/ possible #COVID.

All had a mix of cough, shortness of breath, fever, sore throat, headache, fatigue, loss of appetite, aches & pains, but only 2 had altered taste/smell.

ALL had done a #LateralFlowTest …NONE had requested a PCR test!3/

1. Here's my 90yo Da Tom, on the squeezebox of a Saturday evening - wondering when he'll get his #vaccine
I just got him peg paste and rosin to tune up his fiddles to keep him busy
And brought fish & chips
Then found 9 accordions in a press looking for biscuits
9
I know, right?
2. I was stunned
It also explains why he built the press in the first place
With random pieces of wood he has finagled from gatchin with lads on building sites & from a quiet #Leitrim man who is his son in law
"Christ he's gone with the new lengths - he sighs
"Fuck it anyway"
The wood, beams, laths & beading are stored in the downstairs Jacks. He demolished and rebuilt his kitchen at 89. And now he's raging. So he keeps re-building then dismantling the units. He has a white box with acres of light and a raised step. You built your own stage says I.

Right for those not following the #HandforthParishCouncil #JACKIEWEAVER situation my next tweets won’t be relevant, although I suggest you look it up.
For the rest of you, strap in as I think I’ve got it figured out.
First let’s introduce the cast:
These 3 are the Chair of the council, Brian Tolver (BT);
The vice-chair of the council, and chair of the finance committee Aled Brewerton (AB);
The chair of the Employment Committee Barry Birkhill (BB). ImageImageImage
The Mayor of Cheshire East Council is also called Barry Birkhill, I would guess it’s the same Barry Birkhill but that isn’t clear.

I'm beginning tweeting at the #wintersolstice

As I just explained, we just finished building a new monument, #soultonlongbarrow, which revives a prehistoric practice of building long barrows, not seen for 5,500 years

These are the first images of the new chamber ever shared ImageImageImageImage
Im going 2 explain more about what this is, and how it has been an important resource for our community in surprising ways in this challenging covid year, but for now, I just wanted to share a picture of the monument working with the #wintersolstice #sunset for the 1st time today Image
Now, I realise I need to expand aspects of the context for this happening.

Let's start around 5,500 years go, when the first farmers in the British Isles also found #architecture, which they do by building long barrows... Here's West Kennet in Wiltshire (📸 from resarch trips) Image

I don't know if this is hilarious, scary, or just nuts.
Can you spot the exact day when president Macron announced #Lockdown2 & everyone fled Paris like a plagued city in the Middle Ages?
that's a jump from 81 to 117 in just one day, something that never happened in the data, even during #lockdown1 or when it ended. (Daily changes YTD)
And let's face it, people in Marseille are not too keen about staying there either

The graph of building a city’s medical infrastructure should always be higher than the progressive cases of #COVID19 infection. #LockDown is not a remedy, it is supposed to be an intervention to give administration time to better equip & strengthen medical infrastructure (1/9)
It’s been more than 100 days since we had #LockDown1 and its unfortunate that even after me raising concerns for weeks now, the state leadership has failed woefully in preparing #Pune for this spike in #COVID19 infections, forecasted by most epidemiology studies & models. (2/9)
Pune’s COVID Warriors including our very own Mayor have done a commendable job in helping curtail the spread of virus. I truly believe that 1000 cases/day for city the size of #Pune is alarming only because of the lack of hospital beds & infrastructure for early treatments (3/9)

[LIVE ORDER THREAD] #SupremeCourt

The Supreme Court will shortly dictate orders in a batch of petitions challenging the March 29 @HMOIndia notification compelling payment of #wages to workers during the period of #lockdown Employers had urged that "no work no pay" rule apply
The three judge bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MR Shah had observed in the earlier hearing that since from May 18 wages payment was back to normal, court needs to see if #wages had to be paid for the 54 days from when #Lockdown1 was announced
The petitioners had argued that one way to meet the payment of #wages to employees was by utilizing the ESI funds with the Centre. However AG KK Venugopal had submitted that diversion of ESI funds wasn't usually adhered to.

A small thread:

What we know - what we don't & what we should know :

1. #Lockdown1, dramatically announced by Modi on 24th March 2020 at 8 PM & 4 hrs notice - came in blatant disregard of the opinion of @ICMR scientists & experts.
@nit_set has put out the documents in public
2. We were told by PM & made to believe it by incessant messaging through the official & unofficial Govt propaganda machinery that the 21 day, harsh lockdown, which suspended all our Constitutional rights was a necessary measure to stop / prevent spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
3. The Central Govt invoked powers under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 & the State Govts invoked powers under The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. Both these Acts grant wide emergency powers to Governments.
4. As is widely reported, the temperory suspension of fundamental rights

The #unplannedlockdown is hurting airline travellers in a big way as, not just that ppl are having to cancel, postpone plans or travel,n are unsure of when will they be able to fly out, but airlines seem to enjoy making profits out of cancellation charges n other fees
2/n

Some of the issues that have cropped up for air passengers thanks to #LockdownWithoutPlan and lack of clarity of cancellation and refund policy during this period

Why did airlines start booking tickets for period aft Apr15 during lockdown amidst no clarity of lockdown extn
3/n

Why r airlines refunding only partial sum back to passengers for tickets booked for travel during #Lockdown1 & #lockdown2?

Why r airlines, booking portals refunding passengers by way of vouchers instead of cash back in accounts for tickets booked for travel during lockdown?
