As I reflect on the assassination of my father 51 years ago today, this photo means a great deal to me. Even as a child, he captivated me. And
now, as his 56 year-old adult daughter, he continues to captivate me.

I was leaning in then; I am leaning in now. I did not fully grasp who he was then, but now I fully understand. He was a prophet to the world. His words and teachings provide the just, equitable, humane, and peaceful way to create a just, equitable, humane and peaceful world.
What he taught us through his example and through the movement emanated Christ. He was the embodiment of the Christ Spirit. We ignore his words and teachings at our own peril.
