In a brief phone call Monday, @KendallQuallsMN said he's honored by the "good-natured talk" about a #mngov run. He declined to lay out a decision timetable.

Multiple Democratic group statements out of the gate targeting Gazelka on the pandemic (a Nov. party where a #mnleg colleague contracted a fatal COVID case) as well as his policy stances on health care, voting rights, guns and gay rights.

It's hard to argue which type of barrier is stronger, & the reality is they are mutually reinforcing. When the media goes along with a phony narrative that the CPD is a legitimate institution working in the public interest, that has a powerful impact on perceptions. 3/
There is something that @GovTimWalz seems to have skipped over: the emergence of #RightWing politics in #Minnesota in his description of the. Note that I didn't have to give a place to get Bachmann's name.

Observations with Minnesota's #coronavirus data. We still thankfully only have one death. However cases continue 2 grow & are tracking similar 2 other locations where cases roughly double every 3 days. Testing is decreasing 2 only the really sick #covid19 #mngov #StayHomeMN
Percentages listed don't mean much and aren't really comparable to each other because the testing criteria is clearly changing and becoming more narrow. Also we haven't been able to find good data for the daily hospitalizations ... so not clear what condition these "+"s are in.
Others have mentioned that Gov of Minnesota alluded 2 data (presumably mobility of residents via cell phone data) that Minnesota residents are taking this seriously. And our movement is lower than most other states & comparable to "shelter in place" states. Anecdotally I concur.
