🔬Circulating tumor DNA is a powerful biomarker that can guide and monitor treatment response in early-stage lung cancer patients. Technologies enabling ctDNA detection and characterization are advancing rapidly but we need to understand how to use them in the clinic…
👥 Through collaboration with scientists at @TheCrick and @uclcancer, @AstraZeneca and @Invitae, we developed and validated an anchored-multiplex PCR approach ctDNA detection in 197 patients who donated over 1000 plasma samples to TRACERx.

1/ There is a revolution in cancer therapy that uses the power of our own immune system to fight cancer cells:

Bispecific antibodies
Both these approaches have already produced spectacular results in many cancers and we are just starting.

2/ CAR-T cells: take your own immune system cells out, engineer them to target a specific cancer, and then put them back in the body to go kill the cancer cells. A few CAR-T products have already been FDA approved. Many more to come. my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatme…

#JPM2021 #AdaptiveBiotech My Highlights: my interest lies in their angle on #LiquidBiopsy for #EarlyCancerDiagnostics, but they also deal with Life Science Research and Drug Discovery.
Their T-Detect method is aiming at #MRD monitoring, here shown in a slide that relates it to their ImmunoSEQ T-MAP Cancer mapping tool, and their Identification of clinical TCR candidates.
They stress the T-cell Diagnostics angle in different slides. I recall only @freenome explicitly mentioning immune-profiling from the group of companies in early cancer diagnostics and #epigenomics profiling (Grail/GH/Thrive/Freenome/BioStar/CEGX/etc.)
