एक तरफ अकबर की ज़िद कि मेवाड़ को मुगलों के आगे झुकना होगा,
दूसरी ओर महाराणा की सौगंध कि घांस की रोटी खा कर जी लेंगे पर एक जालिम को जिल्लेइलाही नहीं कहेंगे।

ये वो दौर था जब पानीपत का युद्ध जीत कर अकबर लगभग पूरे भारत वर्ष का बादशाह बन चुका था।

पंजाब से बंगाल और कश्मीर से विंध्य तक अकबर का ही साम्राज्य था।
लेकिन मेवाड़ विजय का स्वप्न अब भी अधूरा था,

अकबर ने साम दाम दण्ड भेद सब प्रयास किए,
लेकिन राजपूती स्वाभिमान के आगे सब व्यर्थ।

अकबर भरता के कण कण में अपना कब्ज़ा चाहता था।

हमारे बहादुर राजा कम सेना होने के बावजूद भी रण में केसरिया बाना के साथ अपनी अंतिम सास तक लड़ते थे। सिर कट जाने के पश्चात भी उनका शरीर दुस्मानो को रणभूमि में धूल चाटा दिया करता था। हमारी रानियां बेखौफ होकर जोहर कर लिया करती थी।
इतिहास के अनुसार हमको बताया गया "के राजपूत यहा पे हारे राजपूत बहा पे हारे"। माना अगर हम हर युद्ध हारे ही तो फिर भी राजस्थान और पूरे भारत में हिन्दू बहुसंख्या में कैसे रह गया। इतिहास बदलने से कोई किसी की बहादुरी और बलिदान के प्रमाण नहीं बदल सकता।

Maharana Pratap was Born to Queen Jaiwanta Bai and Rana Udai Singh, on May 9, 1540, in the Fort of Kumbhalgarh.
After fall of Chittor in 1569, Rana Udai Singh retired to Udaipur, and Died 3 years later in Gogunda.

Pratap's Brother Jagmal was Named successor but he was Devoid of qualities.

Jagmal was Absent during last rites of his father, hence Chieftains of mewar choose Pratap as Rana.
