Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has banned the use of disposable plastic items like plates, glasses, thermocol cups, etc at Gurudwara Sri Bangla Sahib. Eco friendly items like jute bags, cups & plates made of paper will now be used for distribution of parshada. Image
Further, a recycling machine has been set up in the Gurudwara premises to make compost out of the wet waste like flowers, leftover food, dry leaves, etc that get generated everyday.

Initiatives such as these will go a long way in #MakingCitiesPlasticFree.
