I wonder if this is a remnant of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition and the "Current War"? This is on Jackson Park's Wooded Island. It says: "Westinghouse Electric & Mfg. Co. Alternating System. Grimshaw Insulated Wire White Core." #ManholeCoverMonday
