Bl. Gregorio Sanchez Sancho (Father Tirso of Jesus Mary) was born in Salamanca on April 19, 1899, and baptised on April 23.

He entered the Teresian Seminary of Medina del Campo in 1910. After graduating

You see Palani belonged to a very poor family. As a teenager, he aspired to join the army and did so once he finished his twelfth standard exams.

The first to join the Army from his family, Naib Subedar Satnam Singh inspired his younger brother to follow suit, who also serves as a Naib Subedar.

As a Gurdaspur police vehicle rolled into Satnam Singh's house in Bhojraj village, no one knew what had transpired in Galwan.

They were worried as the family had not been in contact with Satnam Singh for three days.

They had heard about the tension at the border but nothing had prepared them for what the police were about to inform them.
